Time is a big thing for me and probably for a lot of other people. I find I pay attention to minutes, seconds and even fractions of a second. I once lost a gold medal by 1/500 of a second due to a mistake of my own making. To this day I think about what I could have done differently in that race.
Here is a premise that ties time and life together. Life is not fair, it can't be and so what. Hopefully this "unfairness" won't get your shorts all tied up into knots. If it does there is a solution to your predicament and it is time. The reason time is a big equalizer in life is that we all have the exact same amount of time 24 hours and 7 days a week. And we all have had times when life was not fair. With the exception of folks who are extremely sick or are differently abled or handicapped, time is an even foot race, 24/7. So use time to your advantage. Outwork what is not fair in your life to level and gain on the playing field. That way you you "out think, out nice, out smart, out enjoy, out whatever" all that is not fair.
Time is a big thing for me in more ways than the lost gold medal race. Time is what I would roll back to see my dad, brother, grandma, or Terry again. Time is what I would halt to keep the little girl from being run over and killed by a school bus in front of me. But I can't. All in all time has been good to me, and I want to make the best of the time I have left. My thought, make time your secret weapon.
